- Division of Coal Mine Workers’ Compensation (DCMWC)
Coal miners totally disabled by pneumoconiosis arising out of coal mine employment, as well as survivors of coal miners whose deaths are attributable to the disease, may file claims under the Black Lung Benefits Act. The Act also covers eligible active or retired miners receiving treatment for lung diseases related to pneumoconiosis.
What You Need to Know
Claimants: You should have received a welcome letter with information on accessing our system as well as your ID card. If you have appointed an authorized representative, you will receive a letter with their login credentials. You must pass this information along to your representative.
Authorized Representatives: As noted above, your login credentials will be mailed directly to the claimant. Please ask the claimant for this information. You will need to register through OWCP Connect and then will register with the new bill processing system.

- Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)
Current or former employees (or their survivors) of the Department of Energy (DOE), its predecessor agencies, and certain of its vendors, contractors and subcontractorsmay qualify for benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) or the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA).
What You Need to Know
Employees: If eligible for medical benefits, you will receive a packet with your login credentials, ID card, and instructions for submitting bills for medical and travel expense reimbursem*nt.
Survivors: Please register with OWCP Connect to check your case status.
Authorized Representatives / Power of Attorney (AR/POA): If an AR/POA is appointed, he or she will receive a welcome letter with the instructions and login credentials required to register and use the system on the employee or survivor’s behalf.
ID Cards: Employee claimants must present their DEEOIC ID card to their medical provider at each appointment. The provider will need the claimant case ID number on the card to bill for services.

Provider Search Agreement
The new provider search feature allows Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Workers' Compensation Program (OWCP) customers to search for medical providers in their locale. The provider search feature allows searches by: provider type, physician's last name or practice name, physician's first name, city, state, zip code and specialty. The providers listed in the search feature are actively enrolled with OWCP as a medical provider and have opted to be included in the search feature. A listed provider or services rendered by the provider does not constitute an endorsem*nt of OWCP, nor does it guarantee that the medical provider/facility will be reimbursed by OWCP for specific medical services provided to a particular claimant. The appearance of a specific medical provider's name in the listing of providers does not require that provider to treat a particular claimant, even if OWCP has already advised the claimant in writing that medical treatment for a particular condition within the provider's listed specialty has been authorized.
