Texas, ranked No. 7 in The Associated Press poll, enters the matchup 10-1 overall and 7-1 in the Big 12. Most recently, the UT Longhorns defeated Iowa State 26-16 on Nov. 18. Texas Tech comes into the contest 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12. On Nov. 18, Texas Tech beat UCF 24-23. Entering Friday, Texas leads the all-time series 54-18 vs. Texas Tech.
